With an elevation reaching 1,200 – 1,500 meters above sea level, Ban Mae Jan Tai experiences a cold climate and is shrouded in mist for most of the year. The cold night temperatures combined with optimal humidity levels effectively slow down the maturation of the coffee cherries. This results in denser beans with a higher concentration of sugars and organic acids than usual, cultivating a bold and unique character that is rarely found elsewhere. The majority of the crops are Mixed Arabica varieties, including Caturra, Catimor, Typica, and Yellow Bourbon.
